Snow, flooring, snow, interior doors, snow, snow, snow...

December 8th:

Today Rich came to work, Chris Fuller is sick and won't be here today.  Then, in a flurry of activity, the flooring guy arrived with the tile and laid some sort of sub floor down while he was here.  While that truck was being unloaded, the trim guy arrived with the interior doors, while that was being unloaded the cabinet designer arrived to look things over.  Then, they all left at almost the same time, just as they had arrived, and now it's just Rich again.

So, Harley and I went to have a look at the doors.  They are finished so lovely, Ryan Herschberger did a wonderful job, they are as smooth as a baby's behind!  I can't wait to see what the trim looks like.  We had him use some rough cut Maple that has been stacked in our barn for 20 plus years (how old are you Joe Horst? The trees were cut down the week that I went to stay with your mom right after you were born, so the cut wood is as old as you).

This is the master bath door and the color of the trim in the master bedroom, everything in the master bedroom is darker than the rest of the house.

This is the closet door by my office, all the interior doors except the master bedroom look like this.

  1. Love the doors! And guess who picked up your package at the post office today! THANK YOU SO MUCH! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! I squealed with excitement every time we pulled something out!! Joe is especially excited about the ranch dressing and taco seasoning. I'll put some pictures on the blog when I can. :)

PS - Joe turns 24 in March... how old does wood have to be before it's considered antique? ;)

    We love you, Sue!!
